About Me

Rebecca Holczer, PsyD
Licensed Psychologist in NY, NJ, MA, and PSYPACT States
Licensure & Focus
I'm a licensed psychologist in New York, New Jersey, and Massachusetts, specializing in anxiety and OCD in adults.
My Approach
My approach is evidence-based and integrative — I draw from ERP, CBT, DBT, ACT, and I-CBT, but I don't apply any one of them rigidly. I mix and match based on what the person in front of me actually needs, and the work itself is active and collaborative rather than purely talk-based.
Background & Training
Before starting private practice, I worked at the Center for Anxiety (CFA), where I treated clients and also supervised and trained doctoral-level clinicians. I still supervise today, and I stay involved in a handful of consultation groups, professional organizations, and listservs — partly because the field keeps changing and I want to keep up with it, and partly because I just like learning. Training other clinicians and staying a student myself are both things I care about.
Who I Work Best With
I tend to work best with people who are thoughtful, high-functioning, and exhausted by anxiety running the show. Many of my clients have been in therapy before and don't want to start from scratch or rehash the basics — they want therapy that is focused, practical, and actually helps them move forward.
My Goal for You
I aim to create a space that feels supportive but honest, where we can do meaningful work and build real change.
